Got a call about windows and doors, the person asked if I was Mrs Collins, I said no. Then they started going on about some special deal for windows and doors in my area. When I asked where exactly, they said Grimethorpe. I don’t even live anywhere near Grimethorpe. Told them to take my number off their list. Also put a complaint in to the Telephone Preference Service.

I received a call from a gentleman with a voice that had a distinctly South Asian tone, and he addressed me by my name. However, the background was absolutely chaotic-there was shouting and a lot of clattering noises. I knew the area code was Bradford, and since I don’t know anyone from there, I just blocked it straightaway. Later, when I looked at my missed calls, I noticed a 'View' option next to the number on Hiya - never seen that before, so I’m gonna check what it means now.

Got a call today, 12/11/2020 around 2.15pm from 01274 508725. It was a woman saying she was from a company that replaces doors and windows, claiming I’d asked about replacing mine. Got a call earlier from this lady who was real "nice", asking how I was coping with the lockdown and then went on about chatting to my husband about some insulation work. Normally I ignore my landline unless it’s someone I’m familiar with or I’m expecting an important ring. Yesterday, I accidentally picked up because I was waiting on an important call. It was a lady asking for Mr or Mrs C.. and then she started chatting about double glazing. I told her I was expecting a call so she said she’d ring back later. I mentioned I wasn’t interested in new windows, and her tone suddenly shifted - she said she wasn’t actually selling double glazing. That was that, but I’ve had two more calls today which I’ve ignored.
