I got a call from 01274 168277 recently and they left a voicemail with a robotic voice claiming to be from HMRC. They said I was connected to some kind of fraud and that there was a warrant out for my arrest. I had to press 1 to call back or else I’d supposedly be arrested. Sounds dodgy to me, so watch out folks. There are lots of similar numbers from Bradford doing the same scam. Definitely block it!

I’m based in London and got a few calls from this bloke with an American accent. He never bothered to say which firm he was with till I pressed him. When I asked, he said something like “GPL,” which he claimed was a company that installs security systems. Totally dodgy if you ask me. Honestly, these guys should find something better to do with their time. Imagine being dragged around by your parents for nine months just to end up as a spotty, pointless muppet.

Got two calls from this number within a couple of days. It was some American woman’s voice on a recorded message saying I’d been charged £299 on my account. As soon as I heard that, I just ended the call - seems like a total scam to me. Probably they want you to ring back and then charge you crazy rates. Best thing is just to ignore it and maybe report it to the TPS if you want.

Number was hidden when they called me. I rang back and they said my internet security payment needed renewing. I told them I never had any internet security with them and had no clue what they were on about. Then they tried to sell me a “discounted” deal for £199. I’d steer clear of this number, it’s definitely a scam. It keeps ringing me over and over, so if you can block it, do it!
