I missed a call from them earlier and there was no voicemail, which made me think it was a dodgy call. Today I actually answered, but all I got was silence and then a beep like they were trying to connect me to a call centre or something, so I just ended the call. Honestly, what’s the use of signing up to the TPS when these annoying auto-diallers just blast out calls to every number out there?!

This number rang me recently. At first, a lady spoke to me, then she handed the call over to a bloke who wanted me to join some meeting on join.me. Luckily, I got off the call before they could get me to enter the virtual meeting. I reckon this is one of those scams where they watch your computer screen while pretending to fix some bogus virus, all the while nicking your sensitive info. Why isn’t there more being done to stop these calls? They just keep coming.

Got a call on the 14th of November at 10:09am, but there was nothing on the other end, just complete silence.

Got a call earlier but it was dead silent when I answered, only said hello and didn’t get a response. I ended the call and decided to check the number out on this site afterwards.

Got a call from this number earlier. When I picked up, there was total silence, which usually means it’s a call centre, probably somewhere like India. After a bit, a voice came through with loads of background chatter and asked if I was Mr ...... I tried to find out who was calling but they ignored my question and kept going on about some issue with my computer. I just ended the call. Even though it’s a UK number, I'm pretty sure it wasn't from inside the UK. Seems like another local number BT’s handed over to an overseas call centre. Why do they keep doing this?

Looks like a dodgy computer scam. They just want to get into your PC to nick your personal info.
Never hand over any details or let them in.

Total scam, they try to trick you by claiming your computer is infected with a virus. I’m in IT support myself, so I decided to mess about and see what nonsense they'd come out with. Honestly, it was so ridiculous I couldn’t help but laugh. Seriously though, don’t give any of your info to these muppets!

I got a call from a woman with an accent I couldn’t place, and she asked if I was the person in charge of the computer. She actually knew my name and where I lived, which freaked me out a bit. I asked her where she got that info from, and she said it was all from some database. Then she said my computer was infected with viruses and that if I logged on, she’d help me remove them. I was quite suspicious and kept pressing her for more details, but she just said goodbye and hung up.
