I noticed a missed call from this number the other day when I was out, but they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail, which led me to believe they weren’t on the up and up. When I answered today, there was just a lot of silence, then a dialling tone - I can only guess they were routing me to a call centre, so I ended the call. Honestly, what's the use of being registered with the Telephone Preference Service if dodgy places like this can blast out calls with their automated systems, just cycling through numbers like it’s no big deal?

I recently received a call from this number. Initially, a woman spoke to me, and shortly afterwards, she transferred me to a man who requested that I join a meeting via join.me. Fortunately, I managed to dodge the invitation before I had to participate in the online meeting. My suspicions tell me this was a ruse to access my computer screen under the guise of assisting with a supposed virus cleanup, likely aiming to pilfer sensitive information in the process. What measures can we take to put a stop to these incessant calls? They just won’t quit!

Received a call on the 25th of November at 10:09 in the morning, but there was nothing but quiet on the line. Very strange!

I've been getting persistent calls regarding my computer, and I've decided not to pick up anymore. They're such a bother, honestly!

I recently received a call from this number, and upon picking up, I was met with nothing but silence - a classic indication that it likely originated from a call centre, often based in India. After a moment of quiet, I heard some background chatter before they queried if I was Mr ...... I promptly asked them who was on the line, but they dodged my question entirely. They started rambling on about my computer, but I decided to hang up instead. It's pretty clear this call didn’t actually come from the UK, despite the number looking local. It seems like yet another instance of BT allocating UK geographic numbers to an overseas call centre. I do wonder why they keep doing this!

Beware, folks, this is a classic computer con! Their goal is to infiltrate your device to swipe your personal information.
Steer clear of sharing any details or granting them access!

I had a similar ordeal. I ended up spending a good twenty minutes on the line with them, just letting them drag it out.

Complete and utter scam! They're attempting to reel you in by claiming your computer is infected with a virus. As someone who works in IT support, I decided to toy with them a bit to see what kind of nonsense they'd spout. Honestly, I couldn't help but chuckle at their ridiculous responses. Just a word of warning: steer clear of sharing any personal information with these clowns!

Received a rather peculiar call today from a woman with a thick accent who inquired whether I was the registered owner of my computer. Strangely enough, she addressed me by my name and even had my address. Naturally, I felt compelled to ask how she had obtained such personal information, to which she claimed it was all part of some database. Then, she went on to assert that my computer had supposedly downloaded viruses and that if I were to go online, she would provide assistance in removing them. Feeling rather sceptical, I pressed her for more information, and just like that, she abruptly ended the call. Quite unsettling, to say the least!
