I received a call from this number today, shortly after I had registered several numbers for my business online. Interestingly, I’ve been getting calls from 07012212212, which prompted me to sign up for the TPS. Anyway, this particular number contacted me claiming to be a company that could block other calls for a fee of £5, payable by credit card. I’m quite sceptical about this. The chap on the other end was rather curt; the moment we said we’d call back once we had the necessary account authorisation, things got a bit tense, especially since we were only able to see the number after it showed up as withheld on our Caller ID.
