She said her name was Rachel and actually had a proper English accent, which was different from most calls. The accent matched the Bradford area code she was calling from. Then she got on about doing a survey in my street - except it wasn’t my current street, but an old address I used to live at. When I pointed that out, she just said sorry and ended the call. Didn’t bother telling me which company she was working for.

This number rings my father-in-law's place loads at lunchtime, always asking for his wife who died about 8 years back. When my wife told them the truth, they just said she was fibbing and kept demanding to speak to her before hanging up. I had one call myself a couple of years ago and said, "Sorry mate, I'll make sure her name’s off our list," then laughed it off. But right as I was going to say ‘yes please’ cos it's really upsetting my wife’s family, they cut the call! Proper rotten people. I really hope something is done about this soon. Cheers.

He seemed to know my full name and address, though I never gave any of that out - I just asked him where he was calling from. When I asked for his company name a couple of times, he just dodged it, saying there must be some mix-up.
