7 yearsI received a call from an automated voice claiming that £600 was about to be deducted from my bank account. It instructed me to press 1 if I hadn't given my consent. Naturally, I hung up and tried calling back the number. To my dismay, I was met with another automated response. I left a message asking who had contacted me and requested an immediate callback. Shortly after, my phone rang again, only to find a person speaking in a rather poor and faltering English, who seemed unaware of my previous call. I informed her I would be reporting the matter to the police; however, she didn’t respond.
