I received a rather unsettling call that seemed to be pre-recorded. The voice claimed that I was somehow involved in tax fraud and urged me to press 1 if I wished to contest it; otherwise, I apparently faced imminent arrest. I promptly switched off my phone. Thankfully, being in my seventies, I can handle it, but I must say, the tone of the voice was quite ominous. Someone with a more anxious temperament could find such a call really distressing.
