Got a call from a +44 number. The person said who they were but the connection was pretty bad. They tried to say the company name but it wasn’t clear at all. When I looked the number up, it showed up as linked to scams. I don’t know anyone in Brighton or have any links to businesses there. Seems like it could be a spoofed call.

01273 899645 called me saying there were two payments locked on my bank account. One was £300 to Amazon and another £1000. They told me to press 1 to stop the payments or 2 to talk to an agent. Felt dodgy as my bank never phones from an 01273 number. I ended the call and checked with the bank - no charges anywhere. Definitely a SCAM.

A lady rang me about a supposed accident claim, said I might have been hurt. When I asked who told them to call me, she couldn’t say. They did know the other driver’s insurer though. This number, and some similar ones too, ring me nearly every day. After seeing what others wrote here (thanks for letting me know), I've blocked this number plus three more they've used recently. They all start with 01273 987 but the last three digits change. They're really annoying and won’t leave me alone!!!
