Yeah, they rang me up and also dropped me an email from some dodgy address ending with sendgrid.net. They even bcc'd themselves on the email. The bloke on the phone was really pushing me to agree to a standing order of £8 a month. Then he starts asking what brand my washing machine is. I told him he should already know that info, but he said he just wanted me to confirm it. So I gave him a made-up brand name, and he acted like it was perfectly fine. Honestly, stay clear of these lot - total scam if you ask me.

Have a quick look at the comments from around the 29th of November and you'll probably get why these scam calls and messages keep coming through. Nobody seems to want to do much about it tho, so don’t be surprised that these dodgy calls just carry on. The only way to actually make a difference is if every single person who gets these scam texts, calls or emails reports them properly. Otherwise the police won't really bother with it.
