Got a voicemail from this number claiming there's a serious lawsuit against me and I had to call the provided number straight away or face awful consequences. The message said it was from Jennifer Coleman at HMRC. I ignored it but made sure to report the scam to Action Fraud and emailed the recording to [email protected]. Just so people know, this isn’t just targeting London folks. Please report these disgusting scam attempts whenever you get them - they really need every bit of info to catch these horrible scammers.

We got this BT phone, cost us around £50, ‘cos the TPS doesn’t seem to stop much. It blocks calls that ain’t in our contacts, and it actually does the job pretty well. On the 23rd, this number tried ringing, but it got blocked straight away. The phone keeps a log of all calls, so I took a look to figure out if this was a scam or a legit call. We check the list now and again, just to make sure we ain’t missed anything important that we might want to add to our allowed numbers. Cheers for everyone’s input!

I just got a call from this lot, and it was clearly dodgy, so I didn’t bother calling back. I’m on the Telephone Preference Service, so how did a call from what looked like a genuine UK number get through to me? I’m definitely reporting this number to TPS.

I got a call like this recently, and honestly, it was pretty scary. There has to be a better way to warn people about these kinds of scams. Maybe they could create a dedicated site just for listing these calls so folks can check if they're legit or not. This site is brilliant for spotting them, but I reckon the government should really step in and make an official site to handle this.

My elderly mum, who's 91, got a call from this number today, and they were making the same scary threats. It really upset her. I've gone ahead and informed the police about it. Isn't it possible for the authorities to track down these callers based on the phone number they’re dialling from?

I actually ended up talking with them, and wow, it was seriously unsettling. I've been through a lot before, but this was on a whole other level. The woman was oddly collected even though she was shouting and dropping swear words, plus insulting my mum and all sorts. Then out of nowhere, a bloke picks up and starts laughing. Honestly, it gave me the creeps - really creepy stuff.

Got a call again from someone named Jennifer saying she was from HMRC. She was threatening me with a tax evasion lawsuit, which sounded fishy. I checked with HMRC themselves, and they told me this is a known scam with multiple calls like this being made by the same person. They mainly go after older folks and get pretty aggressive if you ask too many questions. Definitely not legit!

yesterday I got a call from an 0151 number, now today this one rings me. It was one of those automated calls, no one even said my name. I reckon it’s a scam - if it was really HMRC, they’d get someone to ring properly, not just some robot.

Got a call from a woman's voice on a recording saying there's a judgement against whoever answers. Seems pretty dodgy to me and sounds like it could be dangerous. This kind of thing really needs to be reported to the cops, if nothing else. Phone companies should definitely take stricter action on calls like this.

Around 11 this morning, I got a call from this number with a story pretty much like what others have said here. They kept going on about ’serious legal trouble’ if you didn’t ring back. Anyone who’s fragile or worried would be really shook up by this. I ended the call before they could carry on with their rubbish. It’s about time the authorities started tracking down and punishing these fraudsters properly. They should be locked up the first time they’re caught.

Got a call from someone saying they're Jennifer Coleman at HMRC - total scam! Check out the comments on the number +1913082487, it’s full of people saying it’s threatening and about some serious legal issue. The voice sounded like a bot, very robotic, like a text read out loud. They kept saying "this message is for you" but never mentioned a proper name. They even signed off with “have a blessed day” which is so NOT how HMRC would speak. Told me it was urgent but just felt fishy all the way.
