I received a call earlier today from what they claimed was an energy company, but I must say, it raised a few red flags for me. The whole thing felt rather dodgy.

I keep getting calls from a firm named Smart Savers. Whenever I tell them to take me off their list, they just cut me off and ring back about a week later. Strangely, they’ve got my work number and even guess my home address, which is always incorrect. When I correct them, they insist on me giving the correct details, but I always refuse to share.

Jake rang up asking for our MD by name, claiming he'd been told she'd be expecting his call - which wasn't true. He seemed really sure of himself, but it was obvious he just wanted to get through. When I didn't play along, he got a bit annoyed.

Got a call from some energy company bloke again! This guy, Jake, was proper rude and kept saying my director was waiting for his call which is utter rubbish. I even asked my director while he was on the line and he had no clue who this Jake was. The caller wouldn’t back down, just kept pushing his nonsense. Totally fed up with their lies and bad manners. I’ve also flagged it up to Ofcom.
