Got a ring from someone claiming to be Greenpeace after I signed a couple of petitions online, asking for money. The woman on the phone was quite courteous, I’ll give her that. Still, I wouldn’t just hand over my info so easily over the phone. Anyone could pretend to be from Greenpeace and ask for support, then ask for your details. If you’re unsure, it’s better to contact Greenpeace directly to verify the number.
