I got a call at about 3:09 PM here in Pevensey Bay, and since I use Call Minder, it asks folks to leave a name when they ring. This guy said his name was "Jay," but I've never heard of anyone called that around here, so I just ignored it and switched off.

Just got a call from someone saying they're from HMRC, saying I’m being sued and to press one to talk to a caseworker about paying up. Turns out it’s a scam - HMRC has actually warned about these automated calls. These fraudsters often pick on older folks, so watch out and hang up right away if you get one of those. Loads of people have already reported these dodgy calls.

Got a couple of calls from someone claiming to be HMRC, threatening legal action and telling me to press 1 to talk to a case officer. Tried ringing the number back to check but it just wouldn't connect. After checking here, I’m glad I didn’t pick up - sounds like they were probably after my bank info.

Got a call at 12.55 on a Bank Hol Monday claiming to be Better Homes UK. They wanted to chat about government grants for eco-friendly windows. I said I was tied up, and they promised to ring back. Sure enough, at 2.18 they called again but this time from 01273 615 099. I told them to try again the next day and then searched for the numbers on here and blocked them both straight away.

Got an answerphone message where they said our names. I tried calling back after doing a 1471 check, but the number just wouldn’t go through.

I didn’t say anything, just heard noises in the backround. I looked up the number and tried calling back, it just rang and rang for like two minutes with no answer. Someone called looking for a Ms Woods, which isn't me. I told them they've got the wrong number. Then they tried asking if I live in a certain postcode area, so I just repeated that it’s the wrong number and ended the call.
