Got a text from someone called H.G. Clarke claiming I’m seriously in debt. Tried to block the number but it’s not even a real one! Also, I don’t even use italk, so no idea where this is coming from. Proper strange.

Hi, my name’s Paul Stringer. I’m hoping to arrange a payment plan for a debt of £93.43. Just so you know, I’m struggling with depression at the moment. I’ve reached out to Italk multiple times about ref 348438, but they keep saying they don’t provide my broadband service. Could you please let me know if setting up a payment plan is an option? You can get hold of me on 07519 270064. Thanks, Paul Stringer.

These lot are from italk, and honestly, they just won’t leave you alone. I quit italk because they kept charging my bank card whenever they felt like it, and piling on random fees whenever they fancied. I originally joined because of some cashback deal, but they did everything possible to avoid paying up. After I cancelled, they hit me with a final bill of just 81p - yeah, you read that right, 81 pennies. Yet they keep bombarding me with calls, up to five times a day, all over that tiny amount and some bogus fees. Trust me, don’t ever bother with italk.

Over the past couple of days, ITalk has rung me up about five times, claiming I owe them money. I honestly don't have any debt with them and never have.

There’s this debt collector called Howard Gemini Clarke, working for some company named "Italk". Honestly, I've lost track of how many times I insisted they won’t get a penny from me. My internet speeds were rubbish, like 4MBPS or even slower for a good three weeks before everything, phone and internet, just stopped working altogether! My advice? Never hand over your details to debt collectors. Plus, after 6 years without any proper response or acknowledgement of the supposed debt, it becomes statute barred. Just ignore and block their phone number!

If you haven't acknowledged owing the debt or admitted any link to it for 6 years (this doesn't apply in Scotland), the debt is considered 'statute barred' and they can’t legally chase you through the courts. Basically, after 6 years of no contact or admission, you're off the hook for that disputed amount. Just a heads up, I might not have all the details right, so definitely look into it yourself! Here's a useful site I found: https://www.stepchange.org/debt-info/can-i-write-off-debt/statute-barred-debt.aspx

Yesterday (12/10/22), I got a call from someone saying they were from Italk. I never really dealt with Italk before because they kept charging different amounts every week. Then, I ended up getting a call from a guy called Howard Gemini Clarke. It turns out they’re all part of the same group or whatever.

Some bloke called me from this number, said his name was Howard and tried to chat about some debts I supposedly had. He claimed his team had a plan to sort out and lower what I owed. I felt like he was just fishing for my details, so I told him off and blocked the number straight away.

For the entire Christmas period, this number 01273 762 679 kept popping up on my junk calls list - so annoying! Every time I checked my phone, it was there bugging me. Luckily, my blacklist does a good job of blocking these kinds of persistent calls so I don't get bothered by them anymore.

Got a call from someone claiming I owed £58 to italk, but I’ve not used their service for over 4 years. I stopped because the service was rubbish. Plus, I cleared all my debts with them about a year back. So, I definitely don’t owe them anything now.

So this number apparently is linked to someone called Howard Gemini Clarke. I reckon it's debt collectors or something similar. I don’t owe anything tho. They left a voicemail asking me to call them back, but I’ve ignored it.

I’ve been getting constant calls from some company claiming I owe them money, which I definitely don’t. It’s a firm called italk, and for about five years now they’ve been trying to collect £105, which they later dropped to £64. They’ve never sent me a bill or any proof, and I honestly don’t recall ever having any dealings with them. If I had, why wouldn’t they send any sort of invoice? These annoying calls have been happening for around six years now over that same amount. I even told them to sort it out in court since they don’t even have my correct address. This has really started to wear me down, and I’ve heard a lot of others are in the same boat. It would be great if these calls could finally stop. I’m 51 years old and have never missed a payment, so this whole situation feels really unfair.

I got a call from a number in the CA25 area, West Cumbria, where the person claimed to be from the bank. They told me there was a withdrawal of more than a grand from my dad's account. Then they asked if he’d approve the payment and said to press two if it wasn’t authorised. Bit fishy if you ask me.

This company called H G Clarke has been ringing and texting me loads, but it’s obvious they’re after the wrong person. Every time I ring them back to tell them they’ve got the wrong number about some debt, they say sorry and then get in touch again after a few days. The debt they’re on about is to do with iTalk, a firm I’ve never even dealt with before.

I got this voicemail from a woman but couldn't make out what she was saying at all. A few months back, my flatmate sorted out this broadband deal for us. Since then, I’ve lost touch with them and haven’t even got a clue where they are now. They set the account up using my middle names. We were alright for the first couple of weeks, but then the connection started playing up big time, loads of dropouts. I called iTalk loads of times and they kept promising an engineer would come out, but after days of waiting, no one showed. When I finally told them I was switching over to EE broadband, they just hung up on me. After moving to EE, I kept receiving bills and letters saying my charges were increasing - £60 suddenly shot up to over £300! Honestly, this company seems like a total scam, and their customer service have no clue what they’re talking about. Wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

I tried to end my contract with them just a week after signing up, but they refused to let me. I've rung them loads of times since then, and now they say I owe over £200. There’s no way I’m paying that. I was well within my rights to cancel within 14 days, and I actually wanted to do it within a week.

I got a call from Howard Gemini Clarke about some supposed debt I owed Italk. Thing is, I had already cancelled the contract after just a couple of months since they never managed to get broadband installed, even though they kept taking money from my bank. They said they’d send an engineer over, but that never happened. After I ended the contract, they started threatening me with legal action!

This number has been buzzing me non-stop. When I finally answered the first call, nobody said a word. The second time they rang, I ignored it because I generally don’t pick up if the number’s unfamiliar. Then, oddly, they called again just a couple of minutes later.

I’m getting calls about a debt I honestly know nothing about. They claim I owe Italk and that the amount has shot up from £67 to over £300. I’m not coughing up a single penny! Their service was awful and whenever I tried to sort things out, their staff were rude and unhelpful, which is why I decided to cut ties with them. Now they keep ringing me and sending threatening letters about court action. What can I do to stop this?

I was charged by Italk for a service that never actually happened. They’re a total mess, offered no help but still wanted me to pay £100 for an engineer who never came. Now they’re demanding £500 out of nowhere or they threaten to sue me. Honestly, I’m ready to sort it all out in court. 👍🏻

I got called by some debt collectors for Italk after a really bad experience with the service. I tried cancelling my contract but they kept refusing, then out of nowhere tried charging me £50 for an "engineer visit" which was just a quick router and line check. I wasn’t having it, especially since I’d already done most of the work myself except for the line test. Plus, they didn’t warn me about the charge at all, and I had to take two days off work because the engineer didn’t even show up. On top of that, my bank hit me with overdraft fees, so I ended up worse off than if I just paid the £25 broadband fee for the month, which I only used for a week before cancelling. I haven’t paid a penny since and won’t be paying anything else no matter what they do or who they send after me. They can keep dreaming if they think I’m coughing up for extra fees or bailiffs. I’m already dealing with real struggles and won’t throw money away on this sort of nonsense. If they ring you, just block the number like I do, or pay up if you want - your call.
