Earlier today, precisely at 12:45pm on the 6th of December, I received a rather curious phone call from a lady named Alicia. She proposed an enticing deal involving the insurance of three appliances for just £150 annually over the next three years. Naturally, I mentioned I'd need to discuss it with my husband, as we both found the whole thing rather dodgy. I had clearly communicated to her that I'd reach out if we decided to go for it, but I found it odd when she provided the callback number: 08000882943. It sparked my suspicion, so I decided to do a quick search online to see if it was a scam. The results were rather telling, and, well, let's just say I didn't bother ringing back!
