They’re trying to trick you into giving out your info, it’s definitely a con. You can keep blocking their numbers but they always ring back from a different one eventually. I’ve had loads of calls from these scammers, stopped more than ten different numbers in just a few months. You’d expect the cops to have caught them by now. It’s weird that during the covid lockdown the calls stopped completely, but now as covid is dying down, they’re back in full force again.

I got a call today and they wanted to talk to my mum. I told them she wasn’t in and asked if I could pass on a message. All I got was a big sigh and then they just hung up. Really not very polite!

I got a call from a woman who claimed it was about a cover for my washing machine. Confused, I asked her what exactly the cover was, and she just kept repeating “the cover on your washing machine.” After her saying that a couple of times, I asked more firmly which company she was from and what cover she meant. Then she shouted back at me, said she was hanging up because I was yelling, and just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from this number claiming to be the insurer for my washing machine warranty. It looks like they can get hold of your details easily, and loads of firms try to pass off as your renewal warranty company. The caller said they were from "Premier Insurance." When I called him out for not telling the truth, he got quite grumpy. He spoke with a London or southern accent. In the end, I told him to leave me alone and that I’d report him to the telephone preference service, but he didn’t really care. Happened on 26/07/2019 around 1-10pm.
