I've been receiving a string of calls from someone in Brighton lately. Just got another one, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

received a call on my home number at 11.35 this morning. the person on the line asked for me by name then started prying about my washing machine, saying i needed to renew some kind of cover for it. i told him straight up my washing machine is my business, not his, and slammed the phone down. what a waste of time from these annoying people. honestly, how are they even allowed to get hold of our info? gdpr means nothing it seems!

Got a call on my home phone around 10 this morning. The bloke asked straight away if it was me, even knew my address. Said he wanted to talk about insurance for my washing machine and that they’d send some documents out today. I told him I already had cover and hung up. Oddly, he kept saying "goodbye" over and over, sounded a bit creepy if you ask me.

Just got a call from some bloke who asked for me by my full name, said he was ringing about the renewal of my washing machine cover. Total nonsense! I told him I don’t have any washing machine cover and he goes on about it being an extended warranty, not insurance or something. Sounds like a total scam to me. Seriously, don’t hand over your bank info to these lot.
