Got an Asian bloke on the line who when I pressed him for my info couldn’t give much, just the address and a last name. I kept pushing, like if you know who lives here why can't you answer simple questions? I warned him if I looked his number up online, it’d probably say 'scam'. Honestly, folks need to call these idiots out and insist they reveal loads of details about you. If they can't, then they don’t have your full info like real companies would.

Just heard that Service Monkey has put in an application with Companies House to shut down the business and stop trading. But, because of several reasons, this request breaks sections 1004 and 1005 of the Companies Act 2006, so I’ll be lodging an objection with Companies House. This means the proper officials can look into it, stop the removal process, and make sure the Company is held responsible for any debts or money taken for services they won't deliver.

Loads of these firms use automatic diallers that ring loads of numbers at the same time. If someone answers but all the scammers are busy on other lines and can't get to the call, the dialler just ends the call straight away. This is definitely against the law, plus most of the calls go to folks who've signed up to the Telephone Preference Service. Proper dodgy scammers, honestly.

No doubt this is a scam just trying to get your bank or card info. The smartest move is to jot down the number, end the call right away, block it if possible, and report it to Action Fraud. When they get loads of reports, they’ll look into it and hopefully put an end to these con artists.

Utterly ridiculous, really feels like its on the employees when Sturgess managed to establish about 5 different Limited Companies in 5 years, with 4 of them already dissolved. Plus, you’ve got other firms connected to Sturgess that’ve also been shut down. Anyone who keeps opening and closing companies like this either doesnt know what theyre doing or might be up to something dodgy. Its the Directors who are in charge of their business’ actions, so if there’s any misconduct, it falls squarely on their backs.

I’m pretty sure I spoke with them ages ago. They’re quite bold, trying to get you to renew some blocking service. Honestly, the UK government is rubbish at keeping its people safe. Seems like only countries like China or Russia have any real grip on this kind of behaviour, good or bad. Our politicians are too busy chasing their own agendas and ignore the spam and nuisance calls completely.

A courteous young woman from the company informed me about their services, but I must say I didn’t actually use them. I had a rather disappointing experience with a firm long ago - after a year of frustration, I decided to terminate my contract, only to be met with silence. Subsequently, I began receiving calls demanding payment, despite having registered with the Telephone Preference Service. However, those calls ceased once I mentioned that registration. I’ve since discovered that the company has ceased operations, leading me to believe my personal information may have been compromised. I clearly instructed the young lady to remove my details from their lists. Exploring other comments, it seems this company might not be the safest option either.

Got a call from someone saying my call blocker subscription is due for renewal and will cost £179 for 3 years, after that it’s free for life. The lady, Megan, claimed it was originally paid for by a Mr ... back in 2016, but that bloke died long before then. Then she insisted my son must have sorted it. Any legitimate call-blocking service or provider won't ring you up asking to renew your subscription. If you're in doubt, look up the contact details of your service yourself and avoid using any numbers given by the caller. Don't hand over any personal info on the phone unless you're absolutely certain the caller is genuine. It's also a good idea to warn your mates, family, and especially older neighbours so they don’t get caught out by these scams. Let's all help keep our community safe.

01273526609. A polite woman claimed she was from my call blocking company. She told me I owed them for three years. I told her I’ve had my own CPR blocker for that entire time. This happened last year too, but then a pushy young bloke called back, threatening to send bailiffs to collect £150. These calls are really distressing and honestly quite frightening.

He said it would be 96p each week or a single payment of £149 to cover three years. When he asked for my card details, I just said no and stopped talking. He said he’d ring me again later. I looked the number up on Google and found out it's from Brighton, UK. I said I don’t think I have anything like that and he quickly said sorry and ended the call.

A polite lady named Paige phoned me, saying they’d tried to get in touch three years ago about stopping overseas calls and wanted to confirm my info. She mentioned that the three-year contract was finishing and from now on the service would be free. She gave me a number to call back on 0330 353 0243. I just got a rather odd phone call claiming I’d registered to block my calls around four years back. Apparently, they mentioned they could block all international calls, but I clarified that I only wanted to exclude India. Just as I was gearing up to query them about their so-called "complimentary" service, the chap thanked me for my time and promptly disconnected. Quite courteous, yet rather bizarre if you ask me!

I got a call from a lady who said she was with BT. She told me BT was putting loads of countries into some call block list and mentioned my wife's mum's maiden name was used as our "password for correspondence". I kept saying I don’t share passwords over the phone, which made her annoyed, but at least she didn’t hang up or swear like I usually do.

Got a call from a woman claiming BT have added new filters to block annoying calls from places like Africa, Asia, and the States, and I could renew my call blocking by paying a one-time fee of £149.99. I said I didn’t remember signing up for anything like that. She then rattled off my account password - which is my wife’s name - and said it must be something she set up originally! I told her I’d check with my wife. She’s meant to call back tomorrow, and she’s gonna get told off big time. Honestly, why doesn’t BT do something to stop this nonsense?

A bloke rang me saying something about nuisance calls. He asked me to verify my address and actually gave the address I lived at over a decade ago! I told him that was my place like, 11 years ago. Then he just said he'd fix my details and suddenly cut the call. Total SCAMMER!

I keep getting these annoying calls all day, just like the one ringing my phone right now. It's so frustrating cause it's always some random number or a telemarketer trying to sell stuff I don't want. Wish there was a way to stop them for good!

At first the caller seemed genuine, asking about how I deal with spam calls. Then he said I could renew some sort of call blocking service for £1.15 a week. I’ve never paid anything for the TPS before and told him I wasn’t keen on paying for it now. He hung up right after. I quickly blocked the number straight away.
