They asked if I’d been in a crash that wasn’t my fault. Told ’em I’d just downed 5 pints of Guinness and a big bag of salted peanuts, then went over a speed bump, let one rip and, well, you know the rest. They didn’t seem bothered. Kept going on about ‘no fault accidents’ only, but it’s not like I meant for it to happen!

A & M Legal called me. I let them talk for a while before saying I haven’t got a clue what they were on about. They asked if I or anyone in my home had been in a small car accident. When I said no, they claimed it was an “admin mistake”. Seems like quite a serious mistake if they’ve got my first name and phone number!

On the 13th June 2017, I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from AMS Solicitors, saying it was about an accident that supposedly took place in the past few years. I told them straight away that I haven’t been involved in any accident and told them not to ring me again. This wasn’t the first time though - I got a very similar call on the 9th June from AMS Solicitors as well, but it was from a different number (02031 960090). I told them the exact same thing then.

They brought up Carquest and started asking about a crash from January 2016 I supposedly was in. I told them I’ve never been in any car accident. They said maybe I was just a passenger, not the driver. I said no, I’m sure it’s not me. Then they asked who they thought they’d called, gave me a totally different name. I said they must have got the wrong number. They insisted they had the right one, then wanted my name. I told them to leave me alone, hung up, and blocked the number straight away.
