I got one of those calls again, sounded like someone with a strong east Asian accent, talking about some made-up car crash I'd supposedly been involved in. I mean, if that really happened, I’d definitely remember it, right? When I get calls like this, I switch to a really firm, no-nonsense tone, which seems to make them back off pretty quick. I usually ask them specifics - like when and where this accident supposedly happened - and they seem to hang up as soon as I do that.
