Had a call from an automated voice saying my bank card was charged abroad and they needed me to verify the card info. It’s clearly a scam trying to get your details to steal money. Real banks don’t ring you with robo messages like that asking for confirmation over the phone. Best thing is don’t answer and just block the number straight away.

Dodgy call, definitely a scam.

My elderly dad, who’s 90, keeps getting calls from this same number, and they just ring and then hang up each time. It’s really upsetting for him.

On the 29th of August 2023, this number called me with a recorded message saying my internet was involved in illegal activities and that BT would cut off my service soon. If I wanted to talk to someone, it said to press 1. I just hung up and later looked it up, turns out it’s a scam. Just so you know, BT isn’t even my internet supplier.
