I got a call from someone saying they were with O2, telling me my contract needed renewing. Problem is, I never agreed to O2 passing my info to any sales teams. I’m not keen on unsolicited calls like that. If I decide to switch or update my contract, I’ll contact O2 directly, not some random sales rep ringing me up.

I began getting calls from this number yesterday, the 20th of October, 2022. They left a voicemail saying they were from Halifax. However, Halifax usually uses an 0345 number, so I can't fathom why I'm getting calls from a landline number starting with 01273! It would make more sense if it were from my local branch, but it’s not even that! I’m planning to ring the official number for the bank to verify if this is genuine or not!
