Someone called me saying it was a Vodafone SIM upgrade, but I’m actually with Lebara, which uses Vodafone’s network anyway, so there’s no way Vodafone would be asking for my info. I told him that, and then he just hung up on me! Proper rude!

Some bloke rang saying he was with Vodafone and was selling an upgraded SIM, then shot me a text. I played along, acted like an old pensioner to mess with him. Told him I didn’t trust him at all, and he ended up calling me a proper nasty name and even insulted my mum. We went back and forth with insults, but I reckon I came out on top - I’m no newbie at dishing out a good mouthful!

Two times in as many days, I noticed nearly identical numbers sending me missed call alerts, but my phone never actually rang. Definitely feels dodgy, so I wouldn’t advise ringing them back. Looks like a scam to me.

Got a call a few times from someone saying my SIM card needed replacing. I double checked with Vodafone and it was a load of rubbish. Told the bloke it was a scam and just hung up.

Beware of SIM card con artists. Best thing is to just ignore any calls from them.

This caller said they were from EE but it’s just a scam. They tried to convince me they’d send a new SIM card. I called EE myself afterwards, and they confirmed it wasn’t them at all. Don’t fall for this trick!
