I got a call today from a number I didn’t recognise. When I checked it, it turned out to be a telemarketer trying to sell something I didn’t want. I tried looking up the number and found this site really helpful to see who it was before answering next time. Might save me from those annoying calls!

Didn’t pick up, but that code looks like a scammer from somewhere in Britain. Has anyone else from Roxburghshire, Scotland, had calls like this before?

I'm convinced this call is nothing but a scam, and it's quite intrusive too. The person on the other end even had the audacity to threaten me with blocking my computer!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent using this number, saying he was from Microsoft support. He told me my computer had a serious virus that would wreck it if I didn’t act fast. Classic scam stuff - making ridiculous claims about having access to my PC when there’s no way they could know anything. It’s really dangerous for people who don’t understand how real tech support operates. When I told him thanks but no thanks, he got annoyed pretty quick. I’ve reported it to the police now, and apparently they’re going to follow up at his address soon.

Got a call from some bloke shouting about my Microsoft computer - I asked him which one he meant. Then this Asian guy got all stroppy, yelling it was my main computer and even dropped my surname. I wasn’t having any of it, gave him a piece of my mind since I didn’t have time to mess about. Total scam.

They claim to be from Microsoft every time, but their English is so bad it’s hard to understand a word. I don’t usually bother answering my landline, but I decided to pick up just to check who it was. Now, every single day I get calls from different numbers all supposedly Microsoft. It’s so annoying!

Woke up this morning to a call from 01273311511 at 7am, didn't even pick up and have added the number straight to my block list. Maybe Microsoft needs to step up and do something to stop these scammers.

They rang shortly after the person before them, not the brightest and seemed clueless about the time here in the UK. Said they were ringing about my 'Microsoft' computer, which is not even mine, and got all tetchy when I refused to tell them what computer I actually owned :)

Got a call from 01273311511 at 7:50am, which I found pretty rude. Picked up and told them exactly what I thought about ringing so early. They just ended the call straight away. Honestly, these types of callers couldn’t care less about disturbing us.

Around 3:54 this afternoon I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. She said there was some problem with my computer. I told her Microsoft usually sends letters by post about such things, and she said she’d already sent one that should arrive in a couple of days. When I refused to continue the call, she got a bit threatening, saying she was going to block my computer. It was pretty unsettling!

Got a voicemail this morning around 7.23am with what sounded like some kind of call centre chat in a language I couldn't make out - definite scam vibes! Funny thing is, they keep ringing from the same Brighton number a lot.
