I've had calls like this myself, they try to sell some insurance deal claiming you pay now for 3 years but only get charged for 2 or something like that, saying your current cover is about to end. I requested some paperwork first before anything, but they said no can do, you gotta pay upfront to get the deal. Obviously they just want your cash first. If you pay, they have your info and will ring you again later. Mine was about some household appliances offer, dodgy number was 01273257976. Avoid it!

Absolutely, I’ve been receiving persistent calls from this number as well, along with multiple rings from 020 161 and 07512995141. It's quite vexing that even after blocking them, they still manage to get through to me!
