I seem to receive calls from this number almost weekly, purporting to be from BT Openreach, and they’re always going on about some supposed security issue with my internet. Honestly, I wish they’d just take a hint and leave me alone! I invariably hang up on them. Definitely a scam, so I’ve blocked the number.

Not sure who rang, but they left a really long message on my ansaphone - it was all crackly and didn’t make much sense, but it went on for about two minutes. Sounded kinda like some creepy growling voice or something - proper weird.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent, rang me three times asking for Mrs xxxx - which was actually my name over a decade ago. It felt off and his tone came across as quite threatening. Claimed he was from Amazon Prime and that my account had been compromised. In the final call, he said I’d be charged £79.95 monthly unless I cancelled. He rattled off a bunch of numbers and said I shouldn’t share them. Told my husband the call was being recorded. Eventually, the bloke just hung up.

With a really thick Indian accent, the caller wanted to know about the last person who lived here, but they moved out like 14 years ago! When I told them "mate, you're about 14 years late," they just cut the call straight away. FYI, the previous owner went bankrupt and lost the place, so I'm pretty sure this was just some other debt collector ringing me.

She had a strong Indian accent, making it really hard to catch what she was saying. I caught something about “BT OpenReach” and that my internet connection had issues or something. Was shocked how pushy the call was - proper aggressive selling. Quickly figured out it was a dodgy scam, told her to jog on and hung up. This same number has rung me three times today on my landline. I just block it now. These scammers deserve a proper crackdown but I doubt that’ll happen. Government seem more interested in chasing down people who mess with statues than sorting stuff like this out!!

The upper echelons, like chief constables, are likely pocketing a little something from every dodgy operation that goes unnoticed. Banks, too, are cashing in with every fraudulent transaction, so don’t hold your breath waiting for change. If you ask me, the only real solution to escape these pesky calls is to ditch your phone altogether, go off the radar, and live like a hermit. Honestly, it’s enough to make me want to throw in the towel and just disappear from the madness!

I thought it was the NHS ringing, so I picked up, only to hear a lady with an Indian accent with the usual call centre noise behind her. She asked if she was speaking to Mrs X, which is my wife's actual name, so I told her no. Then she asked for Mr X. I said no again. Got no voicemail left, just another annoying ring from one of probably ten different numbers this week. We usually don’t pick up if we don’t recognise the number.

Just got a call from this number claiming to be BT Openreach. When I asked for a contact number to verify, they quickly hung up. Definitely seems like a SCAM!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from BT Openreach about my slow broadband. When I asked her to verify my name or account number, she said she couldn’t because of data protection rules. I told her if that was true, she should email me using the address linked to my account to prove she was legit. Obviously, it was a scam. Over the last few weeks, I’ve had loads of calls and voicemails from people claiming to be BT Openreach - sometimes on this number, sometimes on others.

This person rang up saying my washing machine warranty was up and asked if I wanted to renew it. When I asked which one she meant, she said the one at #gives my address#. I told her I have two machines, so which one? She just hung up. These calls come about every month. I’ve tried going along with it, asked nicely to be taken off their list, and even got rude with them. Yet, they just keep ringing!

Got a call from 012732575667 saying they were from BT about my internet. I told the bloke to stop ringing me, but he said he wouldn’t stop and sounded Asian. Proper annoying!

Got a call earlier today from someone about a washing machine warranty, told them mine was definitely still covered, and then they just ended the call.

I've noticed this is a landline number. Does anyone happen to have the address linked to it? Perhaps we should all head over there and set things straight. I reckon if we did that, the authorities would descend upon us in no time at all, yet they seem utterly useless when it comes to tackling these fraudsters. In fact, the scammers might even end up getting some form of assistance, possibly a nice payout from the public purse, while we’d be the ones facing the consequences. Ah, this is just a classic representation of British justice, isn’t it? Looks like no one is going to take any action.

Got a call at about 9 in the morning from a woman with an accent, and you could hear a bunch of people chatting in the background like it was some sort of call centre.

Got a call from 01273257567 claiming to be BT and said my internet was having issues. Did a quick speed test and everything seemed fine. I told them it sounded fishy and hung up when they asked me to open Google Chrome and do something on there. Blocked the number straight away.

This number 01273257567 rang me on 19 Mar 2021 around 8:25 in the morning, tryin to sell some washing machine cover. It was a total scam, sounded like the person was Asian and then they switched to someone with a European accent. Be careful, they were asking for credit card details. Don't fall for it, probably a hoax!

I got a call from someone named Steven claiming to be from BT Openreach. He mentioned my internet speeds were unstable and asked if I could check them myself. I told him I wasn’t sure how, so he asked if I had a device connected that could show the speed. When I said no, he just ended the call quickly. Just so everyone knows, the firm goes by Openreach now, not BT Openreach. Also, Openreach deals only with business clients like BT, Sky and Talk Talk, so they wouldn’t ring you unless you’d already flagged a fault with your landline provider.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, saying there was a problem with my internet. They were really pushy and rude to my wife, even threatening to disconnect our service. When I contacted my actual provider, they told me there were no problems at all. Honestly, these scammers should find something better to do instead of bothering honest people like us!
