I recently received a rather peculiar telephone call from this number. The caller inquired whether I was a director of a business and if I’d be willing to respond to some queries regarding enterprises in rural locales. Since I reside in Newcastle, I'd hardly classify it as rural! I requested that he send the questions via email, citing my hectic schedule and that he was apparently gathering information for Newcastle University. Quite curiously, he promptly vanished from the conversation!

I missed a call from this number today, and since it had a Brighton area code, I thought it might be something urgent. I rang back but the call got cut off immediately. Looks like it might be a scam, especially because the number seems linked to different places. Just to be clear, the 01273 code covers Brighton and Hove, as well as Peacehaven, Telscombe and Newhaven.

Someone named Evan got in touch from OBM or something, claiming he was ringing from Innovate UK. He wanted to talk to a Manager, but when I asked for his info he gave it reluctantly. I might have kinda accidentally on purpose ended the call instead of passing him through.
