Got a call from someone claiming to be about the guarantee on my Beko washing machine. Bit odd, coz how would they know I even own one? Maybe just a lucky guess. They told me the guarantee’s run out and asked if I wanted to renew it. I mentioned we’re already covered by another appliance insurance, then they hung up. Tried to catch their company name but couldn’t really make it out. Could be legit, could be a scam. As far as I remember, our warranty expired ages ago anyway. Meh.

Didn’t pick up when it rang a couple of times, number looked totally unfamiliar.

Someone called and said that none of their agents were free right now and that they’d try ringing back later.

Got three calls back to back, all from different numbers but the accent sounded the same - some sort of Indian accent. I just hung up while they were still speaking.

I picked up, but there was nothing on the other end. Might have just been someone dialling the wrong number. They didn’t end the call though, so I ended it after a few secs.
