5 yearsGot a call from someone named Callum claiming to be with Domestic and General about renewing my cover. He first rang me around 3pm, but I told him I didn’t have the info handy. He said he’d ring back at 5pm, and sure enough, he did just after 5. In the time between, I looked up the number online and realised it was a scam. When I brought it up with him, he denied everything. Just a heads up to everyone, sounds really legit but watch out!Callum5 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from the Domestic Appliance Group, wanting to chat about renewing my washing machine cover. They said their phone number changed and that payments wouldn't be taken from cards anymore, just bank accounts. I told them I'd ring back later. Had a quick word with Domestic & General and turns out it wasn’t them at all. The number that rang me was 01273 655162, and the one they wanted me to call was 01273 101448. Seemed dodgy to me.Domestic Appliance GroupDomestic & General5 yearsGot a call about renewing insurance for my home appliances, sounded like a total scam. It’s mad that even with loads of complaints, the police don’t seem to do much about these dodgy callers. Why aren’t they cracking down on them?5 yearsGot a call from someone who said his name was Callum. He claimed my washing machine warranty was up for renewal, even though it’s pretty new. He couldn’t even say who made it! Then he asked me for my bank sort code and account number. I told him firmly he should already have those details if it was legitimate, and that I’d deal with it if I got any proper letter from them. These scammers are relentless nowadays, I still get half a dozen calls a week even with all the number blocking on my phone. Seriously, watch out and never hand over your bank info on the phone.Callum5 yearsI got a call saying they could cover my washing machine for three years at £65 but then they asked me for my card number and sort code. It really sounded like it was coming from a hectic office, loads of noise and people talking in the background. My washing machine’s been working fine for 16 years anyway, so I wasn’t really interested.5 yearsGot a call a while ago from 01273101448 claiming to be Domestic & General about my home appliances.
