Got a call from a guy who sounded proper English, asking straight for me by name. I asked who it was, and he said he was from OneFamily, something about over 50’s life insurance. He claimed he could see on their system that I already had a policy. I asked him, “What system’s that then?” He just repeated if I had life insurance. I told him, “Mate, if you say I do, then I do,” and he abruptly ended the call. Never had anything to do with that firm before.

I received a call from someone who clearly knew my name. Instead of confirming my identity, I decided to inquire about who was on the line. The chap sounded distinctly British and mentioned he was representing One Family, claiming to have access to records indicating that I possess life insurance for those over 50. Curious, I posed the question, "And which system might that be?" to which he retorted with another question, "Do you have life insurance?" I replied, "Well, you seem to have that information, don’t you?" At that point, he abruptly ended the call. After a bit of digging, I found that One Family is indeed a legitimate company, yet I have no grounds for being listed in their records. Quite the puzzling encounter!
