Somebody rang up asking for a Mr Yousuf or something like that, couldn’t quite catch the spelling. I told them he wasn’t here. Then they went on to say something about a local programme for replacing windows and doors if they’re more than 5 years old. I told them I’m not keen on random calls like this. They insisted they weren’t cold calling. Honestly, it was probably just a cold call with a poor excuse.

I picked up but it was dead silent on the other end.

Got a call from 01273046292 about some “green grant” thing, but they were trying to pitch me new windows and doors. I don’t even own the place, I’m renting. Blocked the number straight away.
