Got a call from 01273041661 saying they were Safe Call Solutions, but that’s not legit. I looked up Safe Call Solutions online and this number doesn’t match theirs at all. Be careful with these guys, something doesn’t feel right.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be BT, telling an 88-year-old to sign up to avoid annoying calls. Bit funny though, when I tried asking some questions, they said they couldn’t discuss it and would send a letter instead, ‘cos I wasn’t family. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

These lot keep ringing all day long, from the crack of dawn well into the evening. No one picks up most times, but when they reckon you’re about to explode, they get through and start pushing this nine quid a month deal to block all the pesky calls with some kind of filter they claim they’ll send you. The funny thing is, most of these annoying calls actually come from them! They even duped my missus by pretending to be BT.

I was actually looking up this number on here when they rang me. Told the person I was noting it down, and next time they called I picked up just to block the number using my phone’s blocker.

They asked if I wanted to stop all those cold scam calls, and I told them they’d be flat out trying since they can’t block calls from abroad. This number got blocked thanks to Plus Net’s own block list. It’s not too pricey either, just about £3 a month to add as many numbers as you want.

A bloke named Tom Higgins rang me from Block those Calls. Sounded pretty convincing, said it’s just 76p a week to block all calls. He mentioned I’d get a device to stop the calls and asked for my bank details. I told him I’d share my bank info when the device turns up, but he flat out said no, that’s not how it works, then ended the call! I found what he said really dodgy and would warn everyone to steer clear of this so-called company!

We keep getting calls from this company nonstop. Last year, my husband got caught out and gave them his debit card info over the phone, thinking they were setting up a direct debit for 93p a month. He thought it was for some kind of service that would block nuisance calls like the ones they kept making. I had to cancel his card and then rang the number myself to cancel whatever 'agreement' they said they'd set up for a black box to stop these calls. They promised to refund us, but nothing ever came through. I reported it to the bank who opened an investigation, though they never told us what came of it. Almost a year on, this so-called "Safe Call Solutions" still bombards us daily, both with automated messages and live callers.

Got a call from someone trying to sell a service to stop spam calls - bit funny really. They asked loads of questions but seemed dodgy as heck. I pretended to be interested, saying things like “Hold on, I’ve got my old bank card here, just need to find the new one” and so on. After about 10 minutes, they just ended the call. Just had a ring from someone called Pauline who said she was with Safe Call Solutions. She tried to pitch me this device that supposedly blocks all those annoying survey and sales calls. I shot back, "So this is just an unwanted sales pitch from your firm?" He got quiet. I think this is a total con. I asked them to send me some documents but they said there’s no paperwork since my direct debit is ‘secure’. My mum, who’s 75, got a call from this number, trying to sell her some call filter thing for 79p a week, and claimed it’d be free after three years. She was quite polite, and sounded genuine at first. None of these calls seem like scams, they’re from a legit company. They offer to send you a call blocker if you’re willing to pay, which might be useful or not depending on your situation. Today I got a call from someone called Edward Plant, using this number. He claimed I was getting loads of nuisance calls (which baffles me since I’ve never made any complaints about it). Got a call today from someone saying they were with "Open Reach" and that my phone was getting spam calls from India. I messaged him about for a bit, then told him my phone already blocks those kinds of calls. Then I just told him to piss off.

01273041661 called me saying they were from OPEN REACH. They claimed I was getting loads of spam calls from India and that they knew all this because they supposedly worked for Open Reach!! Had a bit of fun with them messing around for a minute before just hanging up. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call today from Yes Safe Call Solutions. The guy said I was getting loads of nuisance calls. When I asked how he knew that, he claimed there'd been lots of complaints from folks in my area code. Then he said it would cost me 71p a week. I told him there’s no way I’d give bank info to someone I don’t know. He insisted he just needed the long number on my card, expiry date and those three digits on the back, said that’s not real bank info or something!!! Like, do they really think we're daft? Obviously, I said no thanks.

Some woman called me claiming she was from Safecall and asked if I’ve been getting loads of nuisance calls recently. We chatted for a bit and she wrapped up by thanking me and wishing me a good day. She was quite nice and polite, maybe it was a cold call but if they all sounded like that I wouldn’t mind at all.

Got a call from someone called Paige at Safecall Solutions about annoying calls, she was trying to get me to pay £120 upfront for 3 years of protection, saying after that I’d be covered forever. I told her nicely I just can’t afford that kind of lump sum. Then she spoke to her manager and dropped the price to £99 for the same deal, but I still declined. Honestly, these folks are no better than those callers from India and the Philippines.

Got a call from them saying there had been lots of complaints about nuisance calls in my area. Pretty funny, as the bloke I chatted to was quite rude and didn’t take too kindly when I asked questions! I rang back, told them their call was exactly the kind of nuisance I’m fed up with. They said sorry and mentioned they'd review the call because everything’s recorded. What really creeped me out though was that they had my info, stuff I never gave them. Anyway, told them I wasn’t interested so... let’s see what happens next.

Today this number rang me up, the bloke on the other end claimed I was getting nuisance calls. I never actually mentioned any nuisance calls before, so how did he know? He then said they could put a stop to them. I asked what the price was, and he said 64p a week. Told him I wasn’t bothered and wasn’t keen on handing over my bank info, you can’t trust anyone nowadays.

My mum got a call from someone claiming to be Openreach, offering to block unwanted calls from overseas for £99 spread over three years. When she mentioned she was already registered with the TPS, the caller said that only blocks UK numbers. Luckily, she said she needed to check with me before going ahead, and he promised to ring back. I told her straight away it was a total scam, no legit company calls like that out of the blue. I told her if he phones again, just call him out and hang up. These con artists preying on vulnerable pensioners, scaring them, is just awful. I seriously wish they'd face some proper punishment for this rubbish. Never trust what these people say!

This company goes by Safe Call Solutions. They claimed they could block annoying calls, so I replied, "You mean like yourself?" and hung up. (By the way, if your phone provider is TALKTALK, they actually have a free call-blocking service. You just have to activate it via your account, and it takes a couple of hours to start working. After that, when a bothersome call comes in, you pick up and enter a code from Talktalk, which then blocks that caller for good.)

Received a call earlier from a bloke called Guy who strangely knew my full name and where I live. He was trying to pitch some kind of box that apparently stops unwanted calls. He claimed he'd send me the info through the post but first asked for a password and then wanted my visa card details to take £99. So, I had a call earlier this evening around 5:05 pm from someone saying they could help me stop annoying calls coming from India. They somehow knew my first name and mentioned the problem of nuisance calls I’ve been getting. The guy on the phone said his name was Edward. He explained that it would cost me nearly £100 for a special gadget to block those unwanted numbers, plus 67p a week for 3 years to keep it working. I was pretty close to falling for it until I decided to look up the number first.
