Got a call from 01273041661 saying they were Safe Call Solutions, but that’s not legit. I looked up Safe Call Solutions online and this number doesn’t match theirs at all. Be careful with these guys, something doesn’t feel right.

I received a call from an 88-year-old lady claiming to be from BT, asking her to sign up in order to avoid pesky phone calls. It struck me as rather strange, as when I probed a bit more, they insisted they would send a letter instead, since I wasn’t a family member. Quite the twist, wouldn’t you say?

Indeed, I've been inundated with incessant calls from these individuals at all hours, from dawn till dusk. It's quite bizarre-each time I lift the receiver, I’m met with silence. Yet, when they sense my exasperation has peaked, they suddenly respond, offering a so-called service for a tidy sum of nine pounds a month. They promise to provide some fancy filter to block pesky calls. Ironically, it’s these very callers who seem to be the source of most of the disruptions! My wife was even misled into believing they represented BT. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

I was inquired whether I wished to have all unwanted or nuisance calls barred, to which I replied that they'd have their work cut out, given that they can't stop calls from overseas. This particular number has already been incorporated into Plus Net's own blocklist. On the bright side, it’s only a mere £3 a month for unlimited additional numbers to be blocked.

A bloke named Tom Higgins rang me from Block those Calls. Sounded pretty convincing, said it’s just 76p a week to block all calls. He mentioned I’d get a device to stop the calls and asked for my bank details. I told him I’d share my bank info when the device turns up, but he flat out said no, that’s not how it works, then ended the call! I found what he said really dodgy and would warn everyone to steer clear of this so-called company!

This outfit won’t stop ringing us. My spouse fell for their tricks last year when they called him and he ended up giving away his debit card details over the phone. They promised to set up a direct debit of just 93p a month. I had to cancel his card and reach out to the number that had contacted him to put an end to the "agreement" for a device that was supposedly going to block all the pestering calls - including theirs. They assured us a refund would be on the way, but it never materialised. I lodged a complaint with our bank, and although they initiated an investigation, we were left in the dark regarding the results. Now, nine months later, this so-called "Safe Call Solutions" keeps harassing us daily, both through recorded messages and actual human callers.

Got a call from someone trying to sell a service to stop spam calls - bit funny really. They asked loads of questions but seemed dodgy as heck. I pretended to be interested, saying things like “Hold on, I’ve got my old bank card here, just need to find the new one” and so on. After about 10 minutes, they just ended the call. Just had a ring from someone called Pauline who said she was with Safe Call Solutions. She tried to pitch me this device that supposedly blocks all those annoying survey and sales calls. She said it would cost 96p a week. I told her I'd think about it and the number she gave was 03303530023. But when I checked my last incoming call with 1471, the real number was 01273041661. After reading what others have said on here, there's no way I'm calling her back.

Received a call from this lot. The chap on the other end assured me that I’d never have to deal with any more silent or PPI calls again. When he finally got around to mentioning it would set me back nearly 96 pence a week, I couldn’t help but say, "So you’re just another unsolicited sales call, then, are you?" He went completely quiet. I made it clear I wanted my number scrubbed from their records. Why on earth would I hand over my bank details to a stranger calling out of the blue? Absolute numpty!

I've come to realise that this is a total con. When I requested some documentation to be sent my way, they flatly refused, insisting that my direct debit was all sorted. The individual I spoke to, possibly a sales representative, was exceedingly discourteous. They were inquiring about blocking nuisance calls when, ironically, this call was indeed a nuisance. My mum, who’s 75, got a call from this number, trying to sell her some call filter thing for 79p a week, and claimed it’d be free after three years. She was quite polite, and sounded genuine at first. But when she told me more, I got suspicious - they talked about loads of calls coming through in the local area and said this amazing gadget would block calls from here to India. None of these calls seem like scams, they’re from a legit company. They offer to send you a call blocker if you’re willing to pay, which might be useful or not depending on your situation. Just don’t give your bank details over the phone without being sure, and always ask for their name and contact number before sharing anything.

A guy called called Matt from Safe Call Solutions, trying to push some gadget that blocks annoying callers. I told him straight up I was an unwanted call myself. Earlier today, I got a call from a chap named Edward Plant from this number. He was going on about how I've apparently been inundated with nuisance calls - which is baffling as I haven't lodged any complaints! He assured me they could put a stop to these troublesome calls from places like India, but at a price of 76p weekly for a staggering three years, bringing the total to a hefty £149.99. After this period, he claimed the service would be completely free, as I’d merely be paying for the gadget that supposedly blocks these calls. I mentioned I couldn’t make a decision without chatting it over with my husband, so he’s due to ring us back on Tuesday evening to discuss it with him. If we decide to proceed, they’ll send a package outlining the service and the signup process. Edward provided me with a freephone number, 03303530023, but when I looked it up, it led me to unknownphone.com! Now I’m left pondering whether this is the real deal or just a scam.

I received a call from this number earlier today, saying they were affiliated with "Open Reach" and alleging that I was being bombarded with unwanted calls from India. I played along for a bit, keeping him on the line, before revealing that my phone is equipped to filter out such nuisance calls. I then politely asked him to take his leave.

01273041661 called me saying they were from OPEN REACH. They claimed I was getting loads of spam calls from India and that they knew all this because they supposedly worked for Open Reach!! Had a bit of fun with them messing around for a minute before just hanging up. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

Got a call today from Yes Safe Call Solutions. The guy said I was getting loads of nuisance calls. When I asked how he knew that, he claimed there'd been lots of complaints from folks in my area code. Then he said it would cost me 71p a week. I told him there’s no way I’d give bank info to someone I don’t know. He insisted he just needed the long number on my card, expiry date and those three digits on the back, said that’s not real bank info or something!!! Like, do they really think we're daft? Obviously, I said no thanks.

She was quite nice and polite, maybe it was a cold call but if they all sounded like that I wouldn’t mind at all.

Got a call from someone called Paige at Safecall Solutions about annoying calls, she was trying to get me to pay £120 upfront for 3 years of protection, saying after that I’d be covered forever. I told her nicely I just can’t afford that kind of lump sum. Then she spoke to her manager and dropped the price to £99 for the same deal, but I still declined. Honestly, these folks are no better than those callers from India and the Philippines.

My mother received a call from someone claiming to be from Openreach, offering to block unwanted overseas calls for a fee of £99 over three years. Despite her mentioning that she was already registered with the Telephone Preference Service, the caller insisted it only covered UK calls. Thankfully, she said she needed to consult me before making any decisions, prompting him to say he would call her back later. I quickly informed her that it was nothing short of a scam, and no reputable company would make unsolicited calls like that. I advised her to firmly tell them where to go if they rang again-those individuals earnestly deserve a proper reprimand for trying to exploit vulnerable pensioners like her by feeding on their anxieties. This company goes by Safe Call Solutions. They claimed they could block annoying calls, so I replied, "You mean like yourself?" and hung up. (By the way, if your phone provider is TALKTALK, they actually have a free call-blocking service. You just have to activate it via your account, and it takes a couple of hours to start working. After that, when a bothersome call comes in, you pick up and enter a code from Talktalk, which then blocks that caller for good.)

Received a rather unsettling phone call today from someone claiming to be called Guy. He seemed to have all my personal info, including my name and address. Apparently, he was offering some sort of device to prevent unwanted calls, but then he started asking for a password and my Visa card details to proceed with a £99 payment. This evening, at around 5:05 PM, I received a rather intriguing phone call. The caller claimed they had a solution to halt all those pesky nuisance calls from India. Oddly enough, they knew my first name, which caught me off guard. The gentleman who was on the line introduced himself as Edward, and he proceeded to tell me that a special device to block unwarranted calls would set me back £99.99. Plus, he offered a cover plan at 67p a week for three years, which apparently is their usual offer. I have to confess, I was quite tempted for a moment, but thankfully, I decided to investigate this number before making any decisions.
