I got a call from someone claiming to be from "Domestic" something, saying my washing machine's warranty had run out. When I asked which brand, he said "Hotpoint," and that immediately sounded dodgy. I just told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Got a call from Amy who said our Hotpoint washing machine cover had expired. Thing is, our policy with a company that sounds nearly the same isn’t due to end for quite a while yet.
