I questioned his intentions further, and he became rather hostile, accusing me of misinterpreting the situation and not paying attention. When I pressed him about what warranty he believed I had, he was utterly stumped. He then offered me a chance to purchase a new warranty, to which I firmly told him to shove off and that I’d be reporting the number. Stay alert, folks!

Received a call claiming to be from Home Shield regarding the expired warranty on my washing machine. The bloke on the other end was clueless about which model I owned and couldn't even get my address right. He brushed it off as a "computer glitch" but insisted I was the right person. Even after I graciously declined, he continued to push, insisting I didn’t understand his purpose. When I pointed out that it felt like a sales pitch, he became quite defensive, accusing me of painting him and the company as underhanded.
