Got a call from this number out of nowhere while my phone was on Do Not Disturb, so I missed it. Later, Hiya (which I use and really trust) flagged it as possible fraud - something new for me since I usually just get spam warnings. Checked a few sites where people talk about numbers, and most called it a scam or nuisance, only a handful said fraud specifically. Digging deeper, lots of reports mentioned either dead air when answering or no voicemail left if unanswered. Some who picked up said the callers tried talking about tax debts, possible refunds, confirming appointments, or other suspicious stuff all aiming to snag your personal info like National Insurance, DoB, addresses, bank details and all that. Normally I’d just label these calls as spam or nuisance but with this appearing as fraud on Hiya - which is used by lots of major mobile networks, including mine (a shiny new Samsung) - I thought it was worth a proper heads-up. It’s not just some annoying company hassling you to switch providers or save a few quid; this could be serious fraud trying to steal your money or identity with sneaky tactics. I reckon folks should be careful with this one.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, didn’t pick up, looked it up and now I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.
