I got a call from an Indian bloke on 01242386362 claiming he was with O2 and had a brilliant deal for me. I was about to listen when he handed me over to a girl with a Scouse accent, but I quickly ended the call once she started asking for my bank info. Later, the same guy rang me again from 01273021493, and I politely told him to buzz off. Now, I’m getting constant calls from his mates too, which is getting pretty irritating.

Someone called claiming to be from O2, gave his name as "David" but honestly it didn't sound genuine at all. I told him I'd been getting loads of calls like this and said my number's definitely on the TPS register. I asked to talk to his supervisor and he just cut me off straight away. Definitely not a proper company, just a bunch of scammers trying their luck.

I keep getting calls from different numbers asking for my late partner. Every time I ask who's calling, they just hang up on me. Some say they're from O2 or other companies, but it’s clearly not true. If they were genuine, they wouldn’t keep ringing and upsetting me like this, especially knowing the person they want isn’t even alive. It’s really distressing and feels like harassment.

I've had a couple of rather puzzling calls recently. The first one was regarding some utilities, promising me savings - quite the tease! Then, just a short while later, I received another call claiming to represent O2, to inform me that my line was "chosen" for an exclusive discount. The catch? I don’t even have an account with O2! What a right kerfuffle!

Loads of missed calls popped up on my phone even though it’s been on silent, from places like Manchester, Derby, London, Sheffield, Glasgow, Leeds, Brighton, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Coventry and Bedford. I Googled each number and they all came up as O2 scam callers on this site. I’m pretty cautious, maybe even a bit paranoid, but I refuse to be made a mug of. It’s just sad to think about older folks or trusting people falling victim to these pathetic, no-good scammers.

My phone has loads of missed calls even though it’s been on silent; places like Manchester, London, Sheffield, Glasgow, Leeds, Coventry, Derby, Cheltenham, Bedford, Birmingham and Brighton all popped up. I checked the numbers here and they all seem to be O2 scammers. I’m pretty cautious, maybe even overly so, but there’s no way I’m letting anyone trick me. I really feel sorry for older folks and anyone who’s too trusting - these nasty scammers are just horrible people taking advantage of others.

Got a call where someone said they were from O2, saying I owed them £80,000! I’m 80 years old and almost fell for the pension trick. Be careful everyone, it’s a total scam :(

This loan company keeps ringing me and it's proper frustrating. Every time I manage to block one number, they just start calling from a different one. I've even reported them to trading standards now.

It appears to resemble one of those dodgy Indian 02 scams. I was informed that my number was picked in some sort of competition to win a complimentary iPhone contract with 02, claiming there would be no charges whatsoever. It definitely feels like they’re trying to reel in personal banking info. I couldn’t take the call when it came through, but when I returned the call, an automated voice told me that my number-without actually mentioning it-had won some competition.

I didn't pick up at first, but when I saw no complaints about the number, I gave them a ring back. Big mistake. Don’t bother answering or ringing back. The call was just some robotic voicemail with no info on who it was, only telling me to contact a yahoo email to take my number off their list. Don’t email that either - it seems like a trick to grab your personal info or maybe even hack your accounts. Honestly, steer well clear of this.
