What an absolute rip-off! Do yourself a favour and avoid them like the plague! I found myself in a bit of a pickle with my boiler conking out, and when I asked them where they were, they refused to give me a straight answer. Take heed! Judging by several other remarks on this forum, it appears this number belongs to a company known as 'Direct 24' (or so they claim). After glancing through various reviews, I decided to cancel the appointment just as the chap arrived at my doorstep. While he was quite affable and mentioned he's self-employed, he left without incident. However, the individual I conversed with at 'Direct 24' was rather pushy, attempting to convince me to proceed with the call-out regardless. I firmly declined, citing the troubling feedback I'd encountered. Eventually, he relented, yet at one point, he tried to insist I cough up the £180 call-out fee, even though the plumber had never set foot in my home. Quite the experience, I must say!

Avoid this place at all costs! Total rip off. I rang them to ask about their plumbing work and it was clear they didn’t have a clue what I was talking about. We arranged a time for them to come round, but they never turned up. Then, five hours later, they phoned back and were downright rude, even chuckling like it was some kind of joke. Honestly, we’re so relieved we didn’t let these people inside our home. What a nightmare!

I would advise steering clear of these individuals. I rang up seeking an electrician, only to discover they sent a plumber instead. The so-called ‘electrician’ journeyed from King's Lynn to Norwich in the blink of an eye, which certainly raises eyebrows. There was a fair bit of confusion, and to make matters worse, I later received a phone call from the call centre-an exceptionally rude woman demanding a hefty £144 for absolutely nothing. Our understanding was that they had dispatched the electrician we typically rely on, who happens to be quite charming. Thankfully, he was on-site with us at the time, as the other chap was incredibly insistent and refused to leave without payment. I strongly suggest you avoid these people at all costs.

I wouldn’t trust this lot if I were you! I contacted them to help me find a plumber, and forked out a whopping £380. They assured me I could use the bathroom for a day but, lo and behold, after the 24 hours were up, the leaking still continues! Now, they’ve gone radio silent - no replies to my calls or texts, and to top it all off, I didn’t even receive an invoice for the work undertaken. The two lads who arrived seemed barely out of their teens, and yet, their boss claims he's got eight years of experience. Quite the conundrum, isn’t it?

The customer service representative assured me they would relay my message. Much to my surprise, I then received a call from 01273 004125 claiming the plumber was at my doorstep. I explained to the voice on the other end that I had already cancelled my appointment. Just as I was speaking, there was a knock at the door, and low and behold, there stood the plumber. I reiterated to him that I had cancelled. To cut a long and rather distressing tale short, I found it quite the challenge to get him to leave my premises.
