Got a call from some call centre about a washing machine warranty, sounded like the person had a strong Asian accent or something. I pretended to be interested for a moment. Then I asked which brand they meant, and she said Hotpoint. I just cracked up and ended the call right there. Same old scam again!

Got a call from a lady saying my washing machine warranty was up for renewal. I asked a few questions because my machine isn’t even three years old, and then she just dropped the call. Blocking her number now.

I played along for a bit before telling her I don’t actually have any insurance like that. She claimed she had the policy right there in front of her. Just a heads up, folks, this sounds like a scam.
