Got a call from some bloke claiming to do inspections for a government green scheme. I told him he was just reading from a script and sounding all rushed. Since I haven’t had any work done, I mentioned that, but he accused me of interrupting and then just ended the call!

my husband got a voicemail from a guy named james mills claiming to be from the energy care team, but our call blocker ended the call before he could explain why he was ringing. even though i've registered us with the tps, these annoying calls still come through somehow.

got a call from a number on bt call guardian but they never said who they were, so i’m thinking it was probably a scam or some call centre. have just blocked it now.

They mentioned something about eggs and cavity wall insulation inspections, but it definitely didn’t sound like a sales call. Couldn't quite figure out what exactly they were offering though, so after about 10 minutes of going round in circles, I just ended the call.

I got a call from egs claiming they’d do a free cavity wall damp inspection. They said they’d fix any problems too, but obviously you’d have to pay a hefty fee for that. It’s not your typical scam, but I reckon once they start the work, the charges will just keep piling up. Just a heads up, this isn’t the nddh appointment reminder number, so be careful!

Got a call from someone saying they were from EGS surveys wanting to set up an appointment to look at my cavity wall insulation. I didn’t give the go-ahead and hung up. Later, I rang EGS myself and found out they’re actually a global ocean survey company, nothing to do with cavity walls. Definitely adding this number to my block list!

Got a call from a number but no one spoke and no voicemail was left behind.

It sounded like nddh was trying to confirm an appointment for me but the call ended after about 15 seconds, which wasn’t enough time for me to reach my landline. When I tried calling back, it just said something like “invalid option, please try again.” Really frustrating!
