I got two calls from this number earlier today but when I rang it back, it just said the number isn’t in use... really strange.

I didn’t pick up since it was an unfamiliar number. They didn’t bother to leave any voicemail or explain the purpose of their call. From what I can tell, they rang about 10 days back too, and I think December 2019 was another time they tried. Based on what others have shared here, maybe it’s best to block them. I’m definitely planning on doing that if they contact me once more.

They claimed they were from Newcastle Uni, then switched to saying they spoke for Newcastle Uni itself, and mentioned something about IFF - pretty sure they were just trying to get details about students.
