Got a call from an Indian bloke claiming he was from BT about a problem with my router. I just let him ramble for a bit before telling him I knew it was dodgy. He started shouting ‘You listen here now’ so I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Few years back I had an accident and did get compensation in the end. But now, years on, I still get calls loads of times a day from different numbers. Every time I block one, another one pops up ringing me. The claim itself is long finished, yet these calls keep coming. I reckon the solicitors Forster & Dean who handled my case must’ve shared my number with other accident claims companies, cos it started right after my claim ended. Seriously, government, this needs to stop, it’s been going on way too long.

Just got a call from an Asian gentleman who was talking about a car accident I supposedly had? I was a bit confused and asked him to explain more cos he seemed to know stuff I didn’t. He told me I got hurt in a crash around three months ago. I said if that’s true, must have been a serious one as I don’t remember anything at all. Then he offered to help me claim compensation. I told him his call was actually against the law and he hung up straight away. I’m on the TPS list, unlisted number, never share it - so how on earth do these scammers get hold of our details?

I've received several calls from this number, claiming I had an accident a couple of years back. I played along with them, as they were incredibly eager to dish out money, insisting that direct insurance would reach out regarding compensation. I recognised it as a scam, but I can see how others might fall for their eagerness to hand out cash. Be cautious if you receive a call from them. It's high time these sorts of individuals were put in their place.

I'm on the TPS list, used to be in the directory, and I never share my home number with anyone. Everyone just rings me on my mobile now, so I usually just ignore any weird calls. We've got caller ID, and this is about the fourth time in a month these muppets have called, but they always hang up as soon as my answerphone picks up. Barnstable, yeah right, no way that’s a proper landline from that area.
