Over the past couple of days, I've had this scam call three times now, where they claim to be from Amazon Prime. Don’t get caught out by it. They keep saying that I’ll be charged a £39.99 fee for my Amazon Prime account unless I press ‘1’ to talk to someone about it. From what I gather, pressing ‘1’ just puts you through to some expensive premium rate line, which would cost a fortune per minute. Luckily, I didn’t press any button, so I’m not sure exactly how bad it is.

Got a call from a lady with a US accent pretending to be Amazon. She said my Amazon Prime was hacked and told me to press 1 to fix it. Problem is, I don't even have a Prime account, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a robo call claiming it was from Amazon saying they'd charge me £39.99, but after ringing up their customer service and checking with them, turns out it wasn’t actually from Amazon at all. Pretty sure it’s a scam then!
