I told them I wasn’t interested in any home security stuff, so I just said no.

got a call from some guy peter offering to do an alarm survey, said they'd install an alarm for just £1 but then hit you with a monthly fee. when i asked how much the rental was, he got all dodgy and wouldn’t be clear, so we said no thanks. we’re on the telephone preference service, so strictly speaking they shouldn't be ringing us at all. honestly, i'd say steer clear of these sorts of calls.

Never had a clue who was calling, totally clueless.

I got a call from a lady speaking with a proper English accent, saying she was with some kind of home security company.

I got a call from a woman who sounded alright, maybe she was, saying something about a programme for people aged 50 to 85 who own homes. She mentioned that folks were going round the neighbourhood checking if you'd be eligible for a quick alert system that lets police respond fast without calling 999. When I asked for a number so I could verify it, she just hung up on me.
