Got a recorded call claiming to be from BT about illegal stuff linked to my number. They asked me to press 1 so I could chat with someone called Michael. The line quality was awful and it felt like a scam straight away. I told them the connection was rubbish, so there’s no way it’s really BT calling. I even told the person on the other end to find a proper, honest job instead of trying to trick people like me. Oh, and just so you know, my phone provider isn’t even BT!
