I was led to believe these individuals were affiliated with Talk Talk. They had an Asian accent and took control of my computer remotely, pushing me to use OPERA instead of Safari. They seemed particularly interested in whether I conducted online banking, probing about my account balance and my use of PayPal. Their ultimate aim appeared to be persuading me to initiate a money transfer abroad. It didn't take long for me to cotton on that this was a scam. I terminated the call and reached out to Talk Talk for assistance. Since then, I’ve changed all my passwords and cancelled my debit card, and thankfully, they haven't managed to access any funds. They tried to ring me again this week, but I promptly disconnected. Just a heads up-this is a significant scam! Stay vigilant!

I had a rather dodgy call from someone with an Asian accent, claiming to represent TalkTalk. The call quality was dreadful, to say the least. Strangely enough, he had my TalkTalk account number, which raised alarm bells! Just a heads up to everyone-stay vigilant!

Have been getting calls loads times a day, every time from numbers starting 017. They keep switching them up so much, my block list is almost full. Just ignore them all now, wasting my time otherwise!

got two calls from this number and one really close to it, they left a voicemail but nothing said, just loads of background noise like a call centre or summat ??i’m adding this to the block list for sure, honestly it’s frustrating when your block list starts to outgrow your actual contacts!!

Just got a call from someone saying they’re “Jenny from TalkTalk”, but she hung up straight away. I recognised the 01270 code as Crewe, and since TalkTalk doesn’t operate from there, seemed dodgy to me.

somebody said they were from talk talk, tried the old routine about my pc being infected and asked me to switch it on while they sorted it. same old nonsense really.
