Is there anyone else out there who’s been getting calls from this number?

I picked up the phone at 4:19 pm on Thursday. It was clearly an automated call because there was a pause before I was connected. Someone greeted me with a ‘hello’, but then abruptly ended the call. I tried ringing the number back, but there was no answer.

We’ve just received the call! Upon answering, we were greeted with a robotic voice that simply said “farewell” before the connection dropped! Quite peculiar, isn't it?

Today, I’ve had the misfortune of getting three random calls from the landline number listed above, which I reckon hails from Crewe. Each time, the call lasts a mere five seconds before it disconnects! It seems to be nothing but a cunning ploy to entice people into ringing back, only to find an empty line on the other end. Steer clear of this dodgy number at all costs!
