I got a call from this number about my computer being blocked, so they told me to download some software to fix it. Later, I looked up Microsoft’s official advice and they clearly say they don’t put phone numbers on those pop-up warnings. Seems pretty shady, and honestly, felt like a total scam to me.

I got a pop-up saying it was from Microsoft Secure Services, warning me my computer was locked because of some security issue, like a Trojan Spyware or something.

They wanted me to call 01270442322 so their tech team could unlock my PC.
I checked with Microsoft directly and found out they never ask you to call any number like that.
So I just logged off and ignored it.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent, telling me not to switch off my PC because of some supposed problem. The screen locked up with a message, and he kept me chatting for about 40 minutes, just wasting my time. In the end, I told him to call me back later and then the line just dropped. Total rip-off, stay clear!

Dont fall for the virus alert that pops up, its all a scam. Just shut down the tab and you should be fine.

I was browsing the news feed on Microsoft Edge and clicked on a story, but it popped up a new window with a message saying something like "Microsoft Windows Defender - Alert System. Your computer has been blocked. Ring Microsoft at 0127-044-2322." Pretty obviously a scam, so I just shut the window down and my PC carried on fine. I even thought about calling the number just to tell them off, but all I got was a busy signal - maybe because I hid my caller ID or something.

My laptop popped up a warning about a virus and then a number appeared claiming to be from Microsoft support. The person on the phone guided me through some steps and then said they’d remotely access my laptop to fix things. When I asked how I could be sure they were really from Microsoft, they just said, "You dialled the Microsoft helpline, I didn’t ring you." Feeling uneasy, I rang my son to check and he told me Microsoft wouldn't call you out of the blue like that, so I ended the call straight away.

Got a call supposedly from Microsoft Secure Services saying my computer access was locked because of security issues and to ring a certain number. Since I’m not daft, I ignored it. Later, after restarting my PC, everything was fine and not a single problem with access.

I'm pretty sure this wasn’t actually Microsoft calling. The voice on the phone kept saying my internet had been hacked and that I had to ring that number straight away. They told me not to turn off my PC, but I just ignored that and shut it down anyway. After restarting my laptop, everything seemed to be completely fine.
