I had a rather bizarre encounter earlier with a gentleman who had a thick Indian accent, absolutely yelling “bloody shell” at me and insisting on calling me “Mr.” To be honest, I couldn’t make much sense of what he was saying, so I switched the call to hands-free mode until he eventually hung up. Would you believe he tried to ring me again just moments later, but I chose to ignore that one. Just another strange phone call, I suppose!

Got a call saying I might get some money for damage to my car from a crash I supposedly had. I told the bloke I hadn’t been in any accident. Had a long chat with him about how annoying it is to get these kinds of calls and suggested he try contacting people who actually had an accident and need real assistance instead of targeting folks like me who make sure they don’t share their info with third parties online.
