I had a rather unpleasant encounter with a chap named Adam, who happens to be the manager. He’s rather impolite, if I may say so! We were approached with a pitch about some alarm system, but when we mentioned we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), his response was quite baffling. He dismissed the TPS as a non-entity, claiming they’ve never won a legal case and suggested that if we want the calls to cease, we should put it in writing to them. Quite astonishing, considering he refused to provide any details about his company and insisted we would need to do our own sleuthing to uncover their identity. I’ve since reported this matter to the TPS and, just for kicks, added his desk number to my office's auto-dialer!

I must say, the chap in question (Adam, the manager) displayed rather appalling manners! He had the audacity to try and pitch us some sort of alarm system, despite our clear indication that we are registered with the TPS. His response was quite astonishing, asserting that "TPS isn't a proper authority and has never succeeded in any cases." He casually mentioned that if we wished to stop the calls, we'd need to put our request in writing. Quite laughable, really, considering he wouldn't share the company's details with us, and instead said we ought to do our own sleuthing to identify these characters! I’ve reported this to the TPS, but couldn’t resist adding his desk line to the workplace’s auto-dialler system. Quite the saga, isn’t it?
