They kept me on the line for about 10 minutes trying to pull a scam, throwing all sorts of techy words my way. I managed to confuse them with some jargon of my own until they handed me over to their supervisor. When the sup came on, I told them straight up to stop calling me.

So this muppet rang me up saying he was from TalkTalk, which used to be my broadband company (if only he'd bothered to check first!). He kept trying to make me fiddle with my computer, but I just acted like I had zero clue about tech. Then out of nowhere, he started asking if I’d ever been to school and called me illiterate. To top it off, he called me a “son of a dog.” Honestly, I’d rather be a “son of a dog” than a dodgy, fatherless scam artist like him.

Got a call from this number claiming my router had some errors. I just told them off, they don’t deserve any respect. Such scams target vulnerable folks, it’s really awful.

I received a call from a gentleman with a distinctly Chinese accent, claiming to represent TalkTalk and insisting that there was an issue with my router. Would you believe this is the second time in just three days that someone’s tried to access my computer under the pretence of being from TalkTalk? I told him to look up his own phone number on the internet; it would clearly reveal that he was a scammer. He hung up quicker than you can say 'Jack Robinson!' It's utterly outrageous how untrustworthy people have become nowadays. At 70 years young, I can say these scams are nothing short of a plague.

Got a call supposed to be from Talktalk. They claimed to ring a company’s number and said we weren’t Talktalk clients. As soon as I questioned them, they just cut off straight away - definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got two calls from someone claiming to be TalkTalk about a router issue. I said I'd just ring TalkTalk myself to sort it out. She kept saying she was from TalkTalk but I stood firm on calling them. Then, she just hung up on me. At least this time they didn’t call me any names. There’s so many scams and random calls nowadays, it’s insane.

Watch out for this Leicester conman called K###an Q###um - he's trying to hack your computer! He sends emails with dodgy Java applets and wants you to open them. Don't fall for it and never give them access. I noticed he's active around Spinney Hills, Evington, and Highfields. Stay safe, latest scam going around.

Received a call from Talk Talk, and a woman named Veronica was on the line. She insisted there were issues with our router. I merely nodded along, not even sure if we were using a Talk Talk router. She kept repeating herself about these supposed router problems, addressing me as 'ma’am' constantly. When I suggested that I could handle it myself, she insisted that wasn't possible but that she was the one who could sort it out. Meanwhile, I was quickly typing the phone number into my computer and found out it was flagged as a scam. I mentioned how odd it was that the number was reported as a scam, and just for her information, we do not even use Talk Talk. I simply hung up after that.

Loads of dodgy calls from abroad lately, all trying to con me. It's weird how they know details like my name and that I'm with TalkTalk - can't be just a coincidence. This happens every single day now, and I'm seriously thinking of switching providers. TalkTalk's had enough of me dealing with these scammers. Time to move to BT, I reckon. Watch out for these kinds of people, they’re really bad news. Just a couple days back I fell for one of their tricks and only caught on after I’d already installed some software that let them control my computer from afar. As soon as they saw I was about to cut them off, they messed up loads of my system and blocked me out completely. Now my hard drive’s been taken off for fixing. Worst part? They got hold of my Talk Talk login info.

these annoying calls need to be stopped somehow. i told one of the callers (he had an indian accent) i wasn’t interested in these dodgy calls and he got really rude with me using some harsh words. it’s getting out of hand!

just like some others have said, got a call from an indian woman claiming she was with talktalk, telling me my router was getting messed up by bad downloads. i asked her how exactly my router could be downloading stuff on its own and she suddenly went quiet. she started rambling but i wasn’t having any of it and ended the call. honestly, no time to waste listening to some random foreigner trying to pull a fast one!

Got a call once more today from someone saying they were from Talk Talk’s tech support saying there was an issue with my internet. What freaked me out was they actually rattled off my Talk Talk account number. I’m on the TPS list and don’t answer security questions, so I told them they’d be violating TOS and could get fined. They hung up sharpish after that. I’ve messaged Talk Talk on Twitter to let them look into it.
